Now that we all have a basic understanding of what journalism is, it comes down to a point where individuals can take their writing and personalize however much and or however little they want to. Journalism isn't just used to inform, educate and or persuade; it can also be used for personal reasons such as a coping mechanism, stress release and other therapeutic purposes. A very big reason why I enjoy writing so much is because it's a way I can let out thoughts, emotions and feelings without having to verbally state exactly what I'm feeling in that moment because in all honesty sometimes I don't know how I'm feeling depending on what has happened to me that day. To be able to arrange and rearrange words to your own liking is a great skill to have because the better you are at description the better an idea on paper can be conveyed to an audience or the better you are able to express yourself when you are feeling overwhelmed, etc. Creative writing and poetry are something that I'm very fond of as well which comes as a surprise to many people for they don't see me as someone to be into poetry of all things. I enjoy writing for my own sanity because like I have said, when I can't convey a message through words verbally in the moment writing is just something that always does the job for me.
This is all the written work for my Senior course in Expository Composition with David Preston from Ernest Righetti High school. A lot of this work does count for school assignments however a lot of it also is my own personal research on different subject matters that I find interesting to write about.

The crossroads Between Should And Must 4/19/14
After reading the assigned article today, it was interesting to stop and really analyze the whole process of how to make a decision. There's a fork in the road, you have the option to either go left or right however you can only choose one. This in itself is a decision for if you choose to go left then there is pros and cons and if you choose to go right there to stands pros and cons waiting for you.
Just like "should" and "must", there is always going to be that fine line difference between you should do something and you must do something because there is no room for negotiation there. Regardless, this to plays a key role in decisions and prioritizing.
Now that I have broken down the meaning behind each line the author wrote about within the assigned article, I believe that in my own personal life there always is forks in the road. Yes I admit I have had my fair share of "hitting a bump in the road" for the road I was on metaphorically speaking wasn't the greatest choice for me. Eventually, I find that over time I am able to compare between the two roads and ultimately take the path to success for that is destined to be my best bet...obviously.
As I sit here writing this, the decision between should and must is pretty self explanatory however for those that don't understand, one is a choice and the other is not. I'm a Senior in high school about to graduate because it's what I have CHOSEN for myself; to be successful. In order to stand on my own two feet financially, I MUST be able to sustain an acquired job if I want to have freedom to live on my own.

Look At My Brain 4/3/14
Based off of all of my findings and what not, I can say that all of these thoughts were inflicted by the creative thinking I'm able to put out because I feel that personally I am a very creative individual whom has many racing thoughts all the time. With this said, most of these thoughts I document and or do research on have to do with whatever it is I am thinking about in that moment.

S' Wonderful 4/2/14
Something that I have been working on for the future project in regards to a final would be multiple things actually for there isn't one thing I focus all of my attention on. Right now I happen to be learning about computer coding basics/programming because it's something that is very interesting to me. To me this is simply wonderful because I'm teaching myself about these future skills that will probably be needed most likely just because it seems that our world today is becoming more familiar with technology, apps, programming, and so on...
I'm learning basics thanks to khanacademy.com which covers shapes, colors, positioning these shapes, variables within coding and many more basic skills that I haven't even covered yet.

Preview Of Coming Attractions 4/1/14
So based on today's discussion in class, everyone in my group was able to take a turn at talking about what their future projects are going to look like. It was interesting because I found myself becoming more curious about what everyone else was talking about especially Jacob Caldwell whom is a body builder. I asked him some questions I was curious about when it comes to health related matters and his answers seemed very knowledge filled.
The personal project that will be coming up for me would be the future notes and talk about the experience I will acquire when I meet the journalist that will be coming into Preston's a couple weeks from now.

Raising digital awareness 3/31/14
When it comes down to building a web site and or blog, the traffic (viewers) that come through can be crucial to whether your site thrives or dies. It's important to draw traffic to your site for the soul purpose of if your information is knowledgeable and important to others. If this isn't the case, then what's the point?
On my expository blog, it's easy to address what visitors need because most of the traffic that comes through on my site happens to be other Righetti students that are also in Preston's expository composition class. There isn't really one thing over another that I find more so important than any other subject that happens to be on my blog. I say this because everything I write about are all subjects that I find an interest in therefore they go up on this blog. Other students that need certain information and or an insight into other subject matters are more than welcome to take a look at my site therefore I believe this ties into addressing the visitors needs; they are free to browse the "selection" or product that I set out to display for not just them but the world on blogger.
Though I feel my site right now is going well, some steps that can be taken in order to improve the value of the site for my visitors is there can be more visuals in the layout that speak more of my personality. This would be nice because it would be a fair amount of "decoration" however it shouldn't and wouldn't be to overwhelming. When it comes to research and then the actual process of publishing my findings, this value can be improved in the sense that I can go even more so into details on the subjects' matter.
By far I feel human ideas are more so important than digital tools because if we had not had the human ideas then we wouldn't have digital tools in the first place! An idea can be anything and that's the beauty of imagination because eventually ideas can turn into a creation, invention and in some cases a life changing phenomenon. It takes an actual human to launch something and or continue to perfect an idea or tool; the invention will work however the human intended it to work give or take.

Seeking Mentor 2/27/14
The expert that I have identified such as someone whom is involved in journalism can teach me a lot in the sense that they can teach me about everything I don't know basically. When you read this you are probably thinking: "Well that's obvious" however when I say this I mean that little key details that sometimes get left out when it comes to this profession are vital pieces of information that I would need to know in order to be a successful journalist. Sometimes this can include knowing of particular people, knowing about certain places that others don't know of, and so on…
In order to really choose the best mentor, the questions that should be asked are these: Who is the mentor I'm interested in? Why am I interested in this mentor out of the many other ones? What exactly can this mentor help me with? How are they going to do it? The most important question to ask yourself is how is this mentor going to benefit me in the long run if I choose this particular person?
